[서울=RNX뉴스] 박은경 기자 = Mariah Carey Sits High on All Six ‘Billboard’ Holiday Charts

Although Thanksgiving has yet to be celebrated, Mariah Carey’s Christmas music classics are already rising in popularity.

49-year-old Carey currently holds the No. 1 spot on three of the six ‘Billboard’ holiday-only charts.

Her song, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” is at No. 1 on the Holiday 100, Holiday Streaming Songs and Holiday Airplay and No. 2 on Holiday Digital Song Sales.

The song also re-entered the Hot 100 at No. 39, with 15.2 million streams in the tracking week ending Nov. 14. Carey’s full-length album, ‘Merry Christmas,’ has also found its annual success, with the No. 3 spots on the Top Holiday Albums and Holiday Album Sales charts.

The album, which was originally released in 1994, was recently re-released on Nov. 1, 2019, in honor of its 25th anniversary.

‘Merry Christmas’ is the seventh top selling Christmas album of all-time, according to ‘Billboard,’ and has received six-times platinum certification from the RIAA.
